A Mother’s Sunset

Many mothers have watched their children go off to defend our nation’s national interest in foreign lands, only to have had them pay the ultimate price! The ultimate price is often refereed to as, the giving of one’s life.

I attempt to delve into the aftermath prospective in this poem in the suggestion, that in the loss of a child, a mother’s life will never be the same. In dealing with such a loss, a part of them continues but, they are to some degree having to continue while “now living dead”.

Let us always remember the mothers in the sacrifices that are made, in the eclipsing views of the “wooden framed panes”…
